Women Founders Group hosted its first edition of Social Wednesday. An event that brings women in business together to train them on digital and social media skills that will assist them to boosts sales and productivity.

Social Wednesday is a medium for women especially those without any form of the tech skills to learn the various strategies and techniques and use these new skills to build a better business and re-enforce their digital marketing.

The event will held at Startup Kano hub. It was a unique opportunity for women entrepreneurs and techies to arm themselves with valuable knowledge which is no doubt essential in today’s world.

The event saw about 50 women in attendance. Some of them took the medium to express their lack of inclusion in tech related activities. The Lead of WFG Miss Aysha Tofa offered her advises and encouragement to the women and urge them to always strive t o learn technical skills.

We Hosted Andela Android Learning Community

Startup Kano hosted the first Andela Android Learning Community (ALC) study jam. The ALC program is designed to introduce both beginners and intermediate android developers to become professionals in the field. The programs will last for two months with intensive hands on training.

Kano State and indeed the northern region has been lacking in the advancement of technology and human resources. This is coming at a time when the influence of northern based techies will immensely be felt in the growth and development of the society.

The ALC will continue to use our hub for their training including their meetups. We are glad to be associated with a revolution that seeks to create more human capital that will boosts the national GDP.
